As a parish community, we hold that no one can live in exclusion but rather like brothers and sisters. This means that those services that one would want to provide for oneself, need to be provided for the larger community thus the social welfare ministry.
Their aim is to promote the spirit of charity, and to increase the spirit of volunteer work among the faithful for the good of the parish community and all the other under-privileged members of our society. The ministry strives to help Parishioners in need to meet some of their social needs.
Thus they organize programmes forthe needy and deserving youth of the parish such as school and college sponsorship. They also mobilize support from parishioners to offer interventions in cases of emergency such as drought and other disasters and to needy cases such as children’s homes and old people houses.
