Eucharistic community, Striving to make the promise and
challenge of the Gospel and the Catholic tradition a tangible
reality in our own lives, in the lives of our young people,
and those drawn to us by the movement of God's grace. As
a Shrine, dedicated to Our lady, the Salesian Family, animated
and guided by the charisma of St. John Bosco, seek to lead
to God all its members through the powerful intercession
of Mary, Mother and Help of Christians.
Our
goals are to enhance the faith life of our Christian Community;
to act as servant to the local church; to point to God's
action in the world and our own lives; to communicate the
Good news of God's love and acceptance especially to the
young in need; to reconcile the alienated and wounded; to
be good stewards of human resources of leadership and generosity,
and the physical resourses of finance to those most in need.
Our
mission is enhanced by the interaction of the Salesians
of Don Bosco, The Daughters of Mary Help of Christian, the
Pastoral and Youth Councils and the Salesians Cooperators,
who through the principles of the Salesian way of reasonableness,
religion and kindness make effective our common worship,
service, education and celebration.
