The Blessed Mother Teresa Small Christian Community (BMT) as a “Jumuia” of the Shrine of Mary Help of Christians Parish was founded in 1999. It is started as an off-shoot of St. Claire in appreciation of the wide area coverage. BMT extends from Longonot Road, Westwards to Haile Selassie Avenue and Kenyatta hospital staff quarters. It is anchored on the principles
of its Patron Blessed Mother Teresa “God has not called me to be successful; He called me to be faithful”. Her feast day is observed on 5th September. Its membership is open to all Catholic Christians residing in Upper Hill. They fellowship on Tuesdays from 7.00 p.m to 9.00 p.m at members’ homes and celebrate mass on the third Tuesday of the month. The jumuia engages
in activities like visiting the sick in hospitals – Kenyatta, Mbagathi and Charitable homes, attending retreats, recollections and other Parish activities.
